If you know your bass guitars, then you might have noticed that the slim body of the Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas is an exact replica of the original models from the 1970s, but with an extra-deep cutaway for eased access to the highest frets. Another nice upgrade is the caramelised maple speed neck, which is extra stable since excess moisture has been removed and comes furnished with a matching fretboard that has a 12-to-16-inch compound radius, meaning it flattens as you steer your left hand towards the highest frets. The rounded fretboard edges only increase the playability more.

Active Electronics and DiMarzio Pickups for Warm and Punchy Sound

In the bridge position, Charvel has planted a DiMarzio Model J DP123 single coil pickup, and in the middle position, you'll find a DiMarzio Model P DP122 humbucker. This P/J-style pickup configuration combines with a blend pot and a 3-band EQ that can be activated via the push/pull volume pot, giving you a ton of options when it comes to dialling in the sound.
